Do you value yourself?

You will only be as much value to the people around you as you are to yourself, do you value yourself?

When you value another, you are also valuing yourself. Why? Because once you can see the efforts another person is putting into their own life, you will recognise the efforts of value you put into your own. On the other hand if you feel a little resentful of all their value, this means you are not valuing yourself enough.

I love to value everyone, I think it is just amazing and incredible to see people value their work, life and personal selves. I admire their courage, strength and determination for all their efforts in putting more value into their life. I want to be like them in so many ways and they inspire me to value myself more.

Have you seen Gavan Hennigan who rowed solo for 49 days in the Talisker Challenge Race? He showed me how one person can learn to value themselves, check his story out and you will see why. The human spirit is powerful beyond belief, we can achieve anything we set our minds too, but we must learn to recognise what is of value to us in our lives.

So how do you learn to value yourself more? Well firstly, you must stop giving so much of yourself away to others that do not value you. Respect your time and put more personal value into your own life and what you want to do. Learn to say no to what you don't want to do and Yes to the things you have always wanted to do but didn't value yourself enough to do them.

Self-worth is vital for your happiness, if you don't feel good about you, it is hard to feel good about anything else or anyone else. Stop putting yourself down, take a moment to look at all the value in your life, start off with the little things. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks about you, it is how you feel about yourself. Find out what makes you happy, appreciate your uniqueness and celebrate your accoplishments. Put a higher value on yourself and others will too.

For me I value life and every moment of it. It may have taken me a long time to get there, but every day is a blessing to me now and I value each moment with the people that really matter to me in my life. Along the way I am learning to value my time more and how I can bring more value into the lives of the people around me.

Set your priorities, set guilt free boundaries, take care of yourself, mind, body & spirit. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, find a course or person that can help you to add more value to your life. When you learn how to do all of that, share it with the world.

You have so much to offer the world, don't hide your light. Value your life and be the amazing person you were born to be.
